Go to the Opensea NFT marketplace and sign in.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open your browser and go to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/opensea.io\/\" target=\"_blank\">Opensea<\/a>. It\u2019s crucial that you double-check that you are visiting the real Opensea. If you are on any of the potentially fake sites, you will be scammed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The official Opensea NFT marketplace is: https:\/\/opensea.io\/<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"845\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/cyberscrilla.com\/staging\/4768\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/buy-nft-on-opensea.png\" alt=\"To buy an NFT on Opensea, first you have to sign in. Next, you will be asked to connect your wallet. You are now connected to Opensea\u2019s NFT market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enhance your experience on Opensea, you can also set up your Profile. To do this, tap the avatar icon and choose Profile. Search for your desired NFT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigate to the search bar to begin looking for an NFT to buy. This is a good option if you are using a software wallet to make the purchase, but want to <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberscrilla.com\/staging\/4768\/how-to-setup-your-ledger-wallet-and-safely-transfer-nfts-to-it\/\">send your NFT to your hardware wallet<\/a> for safe storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or, if you are buying an <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberscrilla.com\/staging\/4768\/best-gifts-for-nft-enthusiasts\/\">NFT as a gift<\/a>, you can enter the recipient&#8217;s wallet address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If everything looks good, click <strong>Complete purchase<\/strong>. Depending on the transaction speed you choose (Low, Medium, High) and how busy the blockchain is, it can take anywhere from 10 seconds to over 10 minutes for the transaction to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to guarantee the transaction is successful, choose High when selecting your gas speed. Medium will usually work as well, but, it will take longer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I don\u2019t recommend choosing Low when purchasing an NFT on Opensea, as you risk the transaction not going through and you still end up paying the gas fee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t want to go through with the purchase, simply hit <strong>Reject<\/strong> to cancel. There are no fees incurred for selecting the Reject button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make offer. <\/strong>You can offer a lower price than what\u2019s listed.&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to offer a lower price than what\u2019s listed, select the Make offer option. But, you should still be aware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your offer is accepted, the NFT will automatically be sent to your wallet address and the fee will be sent to the seller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Disconnect your web3 wallet from Opensea<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are done using Opensea (or any platform that requires you to connect your web3 wallet) it\u2019s important that you disconnect it to avoid potential hacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To disconnect your wallet completely from Opensea, you will need to do it from within your wallet. Note that this method will vary depending on the wallet you\u2019re using. The most popular software wallet to use with Opensea is MetaMask. So, I am going to show you how to setup a Metamask wallet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For your convenience, I have listed all of Opensea&#8217;s compatible wallets further down below.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Visit Metamask.io\/download on your Chrome desktop browser<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Always make sure you are visiting the correct Metamask website ending in &#8220;io&#8221;.
