I\u2019m going to use Coinbase for this guide, but the process is similar regardless of which exchange you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So first, we need to transfer our crypto from our Ledger device to the exchange.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To begin, follow the steps below.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Open your Coinbase account<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you need to get your Coinbase\u2019s public address. Note that exchanges will give you a different address for each type of crypto you\u2019re receiving in your account. Be sure to choose the right one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Once you\u2019re at this point, go back to the Ledger Live app and tap \u201cContinue\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Ledger wallet should say something like \u201cTransaction Type Payment\u201d. This is to let you know what type of transaction will be taking place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you need to scroll through everything on the screen. Depending on which wallet you\u2019re using, this will look a bit different.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pay close attention to everything displayed on-screen to ensure everything looks correct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Once you get to the \u201cSign Transaction\u201d screen, you\u2019ll have to hit confirm on your Ledger device.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For older Ledger models like the Nano S and Nano X, you\u2019ll need to press both buttons at the same time to approve the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a message like this appears; \u201c<strong>Your transaction may have failed.
